love yourself.

Love yourself more than anyone else.

Love yourself more than anyone else could possibly love you, but also love yourself more than you love anyone else.

Love yourself enough to put yourself first. We often have the desire to be a rock for others, but we serve them no purpose if we are not well. You can’t be a foundation if you are not sturdy.

“You can’t set yourself on fire to keep others warm.”

You will eventually burn out.

Love yourself enough to eat well, think well, and act well. Keep your mind, body, and spirit healthy. Keep your energy clean and pure. Protect your vibration.

Love yourself enough to say no to people and situations that you know aren’t good for you. Never settle for half-love, half-care, or halfway. Don’t forget your needs while trying to cater to someone else’s.

Don’t blame others for your pain. You are responsible for yourself. People will do to you whatever you allow. Even though it can be hard to distance yourself, put your peace of mind first. Love yourself enough to let go.

Love yourself enough to turn off your phone. You don’t have to respond to every text or call. Spend quality time with yourself. Get a good night’s sleep. Enjoy a meal in silence. You deserve it.

Admire your own flesh, because no matter how hard you try you will never shed your skin. Love, honor, and pleasure your own body.

Keep the person in the mirror close. You know all of her flaws, fears, and secrets, but love her anyway. She is the only person who is guaranteed to be with you forever. She is the only person who can make you happy. Others can share in that happiness, but they can never create it for you.

Once you learn to love yourself, you learn to love others without expectation, resentment, or fear. You find that you are no longer searching and no longer yearning. You are everything you need.

Always love you the most, and everyone else will fall into place.
